Kate is a neurodivergent & under-abled chronic pain warrior who advocates for others while fighting her own personal battles and choosing JOY. She has endured through more than a dozen surgeries, primarily due to spinal fusions resulting from a childhood injury. you can listen to some of kate’s personal story here.
NOTE: Kate has been a designer since 2010 and has always produced professional & technically edited patterns, but she has always taken feedback from knitters seriously to continuously improve her instructional style. Designs prior to 2015 are steadily being reformatted and expanded but are not representative of her current pattern writing style or format. Whenever a design is updated, the new version is automatically sent to anyone who has previously purchased it.
This construction method is my absolute favorite, as it flatters E V E R Y B O D Y! The shaping mirrors your body & there’s no sacrifice of fit at the neckline or shoulders to also fit at the bust. Pro-tip: if the sweater features a-line shaping, use your Upper Bust measurement to choose your size, as opposed to your Full Bust (see Tutorial linked below for how to take that measurement). If it’s your first time knitting this style of sweater, I have plenty of online tutorials to help!
