This construction method is my absolute favorite, as it flatters E V E R Y B O D Y! The shaping mirrors your body & there’s no sacrifice of fit at the neckline or shoulders to also fit at the bust. Pro-tip: if the sweater features a-line shaping, use your Upper Bust measurement to choose your size, as opposed to your Full Bust (see Tutorial linked below for how to take that measurement). If it’s your first time knitting this style of sweater, I have plenty of online tutorials to help!

  • Click here to view my video tutorial showing the join of the shoulder tabs, which sets up the garment sections.
  • Click here to view my video tutorial showing the separation of sleeves from body.
  • Click here to assess the patterned sleeve length with your desired sleeve length.
  • Click here to view my yardage tutorial if you’re adjusting sweater or sleeve length.
