I am a passionate knitter and knitwear designer, inspired by curiosity, creativity and the simple joy of making something with my own hands.

My greatest inspiration is my grandmother, a skilled and patient craftswoman. She was always learning new things, designing her own patterns, and truly enjoying every moment – even weaving in the ends! Thanks to her, I’ve discovered more patience in myself and learned to appreciate the whole knitting journey.

I’ve been knitting for decades and tried all sorts of techniques and projects, but the joy of learning something new and experimenting with yarns never fades. I love exploring different fibres, testing fresh ideas and creating a variety of garments.

Sometimes a design starts with something I would love to wear myself – as a curvy, middle-aged woman, I know what makes a garment feel good on my own body. But I also enjoy designing pieces for different ages, shapes and styles. Having many knitters around me with different tastes and interests keeps my inspiration flowing and helps me see things from different perspectives.

My aim is to create designs that are enjoyable to knit and easy to approach. I save my more complicated experiments for one-of-a-kind pieces, while the patterns I publish are designed to be clear, well-structured and accessible.

Inspiration can come from almost anywhere: a beautiful yarn or colour, something I see around me, or simply a practical need. Horses are my spirit animals, and their influence often finds its way into my work. I also spend a lot of time outdoors and live in Finland, where long, cold winters provide endless inspiration for warm and cosy knitwear.
