I am a passionate knitter and knitwear designer.

My greatest inspiration is my grandmother, a skilled and patient craftswoman. She was always learning new things, designing her own patterns, and truly enjoying every moment – even weaving in the ends! Thanks to her, I’ve discovered more patience in myself and learned to cherish the whole knitting journey.

I’ve been knitting for decades and tried many things, but the joy of learning new techniques and experimenting with yarns never fades. I love exploring different fibers, testing fresh ideas, and creating a variety of garments. Sometimes my starting point is to design something that suits me personally (a curvy, middle-aged woman), but I also enjoy designing pieces that appeal to different age groups. Luckily, I have many people around me with diverse interests in the knitting world, which keeps my inspiration flowing.

My goal is to make designs that a wide variety of knitters can enjoy. I leave my more complex experiments as one-of-a-kind pieces, while the patterns I publish are written as clear and approachable designs.

Ideas for my knitwear come from various sources: a yarn or a color can spark a design, or sometimes inspiration comes from something I see around me, or simply from a practical need. Horses are my spirit animals, and that influence often shows in my work. I also spend a lot of time outdoors and live in Finland, where winters especially call for endless variations of warm, cozy knitwear.
