I was 11 when my stepmother, in sheer desperation for some private time without me hanging on her, put knitting needles in my hands. She also taught me to embroider and sew. In short, she taught me to love hand-crafting items. I owe her more than I can ever say for so many things, but for that in particular.

I’m now …. well, let’s say I’m past maturity. With 3 grown children and 7 grandsons, I’d better be! I’m currently owned by 2 cats and 2 dog, although there is another dog in the household. Oh, yes, and a husband. ;x

While I have knitted for many years, and occasionally came up with patterns for my own use, I’ve only now (Jan 2009) begun to share those patterns with others.
