Hi! I’m Kirsten! I’m a Danish knitwear designer, based north of Copenhagen, and I’m behind Norgardknit, - along with my daughter, Karoline.

I graduated as a fashion designer from Denmark’s Design School back in 1999, and has been working with commercial collections since. I have designed for others, and I have been co-owner and designer for Norlie childrenswear. My greatest passion has always been designing classic knitwear styles, with some kind of a feminine touch.

Hand-knitted projects and publication of own knitting patterns is still a new thing though, but in a very short time, I have come to love this craft immensely. Hand-knitting has created a new family passion between two generations, and it is fantastic to be able to share the same enthusiasm for this beautiful craftmanship.
