My username is Spindrift and I love to knit and spin and dye and…
My husband, Mike, and I live on Spindrift Farm on the beautiful Oregon Coast; our kids have grown and are on their own. I have nine Shetland sheep, two dogs, a cat, and one rescued alpaca.
Although I learned to knit from my 3rd grade teacher, I have been seriously knitting for about 23 years and spinning for about 22 years. I work as a biologist and teach a little knitting in nearby Lincoln City. I coordinate the Black Sheep Gathering, a large, Pacific Northwest fiber festival in Eugene, Oregon in June every year. And I am trying in vain just to get my stash and projects cataloged and Raveled, never mind knitted.
