I learned to crochet many years ago (in the long ago 70s), but have only been knitting for about eight years. I had no idea I wanted to design crochet and knitting patterns. I improvised a crocheted prayer square (a six-inch afghan block) for a friend in the Ravelry group Sisters Crocheted and Knitted in Christ. She encouraged me to write the pattern down, so that was my start. We’ll have to see where it leads.
