I have been knitting all my life along with many other fiber arts. My love of creating beautiful things with fiber eventually led to the creation of my own yarn store.

Recently I became addicted to Double Knitting and started to design my own patterns in the technique. I find it fascinating with endless possibilities. My first patterns are geared toward learning and becoming comfortable with the different techniques involved while maintaining interest in the knitting. I do have more complicated patterns in the works.

I have also been gathering the patterns I have designed over the years and getting them in shape to publish.

My website for WoolWizard Knit Designs is a place for me to share with others the joys of knitting along with some of the knowledge I have gained over the years . I am just beginning this journey and will be adding to the website on a regular basis. I have videos, tips and tricks, free patterns and aid sheets, a blog as well as my patterns for sale.

A few years ago I underwent treatment for Cancer and it changed me in a very positive way. Although it was necessary to sell my shop, life is better and richer. My passion has become sharing what is good and beautiful in my world especially the joys of knitting. During treatment knitting was my constant support, it kept my hands and mind busy creating with color and fiber as well as opening conversations with others. I now volunteer there with my knitting, teaching and talking with patients, caregivers and staff.
