I love to make original lace knit accessories and crochet bookmark and home decor patterns.
I fell in love with knitting and crocheting when I was in grade school. My mother got me started by teaching me how to knit and crochet.
As a history buff, I am often struck by the incredible pieces found in museums and antique stores. I have done spinning demonstrations at “Old Settler’s Day”, and other history re-enactment events, to help others understand how spinning is done and help bring the history of garment making into the present. The patterns I create are just another way of sharing this love of a very old art form with new people around the world.
My children are out of the home now and I have some time to design patterns. I had always used purchased patterns and am amazed at the challenge it is to create my own.
I have my patterns tested by 2 or 3 different individuals to find mistakes.
The knitted patterns have both written instructions and charts to follow.
The crochet patterns include picture tutorials on techniques that might be new to the buyer.
Contact information is on each pattern if you have any problems or you just want to show me how beautiful it looks.
Be sure and take a picture of your finished masterpiece and link to the pattern. I would love to share it on pinterest or my blog
I love Ravelry and spend a lot of time looking at designs, reading the forums and joining groups.
