Louise Spong
I live in the Sussex seaside village I was born in.
In 2013 I started South Downs Yarn, producing sustainably sourced, geo-traceable yarn from registered flocks of Southdown sheep grazing in the South Downs locality.
All our yarn is woollen spun in England and naturally dyed in Sussex.
I work in collaboration with Jenny Dean to produce a palette of colours inspired by the South Downs and the Sussex coast. Jenny and I also work together to produce patterns inspired by our local sheep breed the Southdown and landscape the South Downs.
