I’ve been knitting on an almost daily basis since I was about 5, and a few years ago I plucked up the courage to stray from a pattern. From there I began to create my own designs from scratch and am loving the freedom to experiment that this gives me! I spend far too much time knitting and not enough working on my postgraduate studies, but knitting is so much more fun…

Things I love:

• cardigans and jumpers - the warmer the better but they must have feminine shaping
• lace shawls and scarves - they’re beautiful to look at and knit, as well as feeling lovely to wear
• cables, entrelac, colourwork - things that make me think a bit in amongst stocking stitch
• anything Scandinavian, Icelandic or Baltic
• knitting outside in the sun, or inside by the fire with hot chocolate and marshmallows, my husband and a good DVD or NHL game

Sept ‘13 update - Real life is rather getting in the way of all things Ravelry at the moment, but I hope to have some new patterns up before the end of the year, and will still check in as much as I can to read messages etc.
