I am Mariko an Amigurumi Designer and Textile Artist. I was born and raised in Winnipeg in a Japanese-Canadian family, which exposed me to many cute mascot characters through yearly New Years packages from Japan. This inspired me to have a love of all things cute and soft. This love later evolved a craft when I learned how to crochet from my mother as a teenager, and translated this skill into making dolls and textiles. I aim to make the world a cuter and softer place. I love making patterns and dolls of characters that are often over looked, add me and shoot me a message if you’re looking for a pattern for some unusual character and like my style! I might make it happen. I love Dog-like characters, anthro characters and more complex designs.
