I love to crochet. It is a great outlet for creative energy and as a high school vocal music teacher, I always found crochet to be the best way for me to relax and unwind after a day spent in the choral classroom, where there is always a constant and beautiful flow of music. I would come home to the complete silence and pull out a skein of yarn.

Now that I am retired from teaching, I just find it to be an enjoyable way to make handmade items as gifts for friends and family. I am guilty of having way too many projects on my hooks and am always looking for something new to start.
