Noreen Hunter-Talbot
I am 54 years old, moved to Northern Ontario in 1988 where we reside on 180 acres just outside of Thunder Bay. Hubby’s family homesteaded the property when they came to Canada from Finland in the early 1900’s. Between us we have 3 grown sons and have 11 grandchildren. I am pretty much a self taught knitter and crocheter and am now trying to learn all the right ways to do both because my grand children are now wanting grandma to teach them. Being able to knit and crochet literally saved my life after my car accident in October 2001, as it was about the only thing I could still do without a lot of difficulty and with the internet I can usually locate a yarn or pattern that I want to do as I can no longer get out and about without assistance.
I also belong to a number of yahoo groups so always have tons of wip’s. I have already started my 2009 birthday and Christmas projects.
My darling Hubby got me a digital camera, a yarn swift and a ball winder so I can now take pictures of my completed projects and am slowly but surely getting the craft room they built for me organized. I never realized how much yarn I had accumulated over the years until I started to open totes and boxes and sort it all out. :-)
