Most patterns in my shop are for crochet. When I started my shop I was doing patterns for machine knitters. So I picked the username of knittedheirlooms.

It seems I have done hand crafts all my life. Sewing, crochet, weaving, making rugs, beading, you name it. I got interested in machine knitting in the late 1980s. Though my interest began as a hobby, I was soon inspired to create my own patterns and excited to share them with others to enjoy.

These last few years to switched back to crochet and enjoy connecting with a wider range of artisans.

My patterns are written to accommodate both right and left-handed crocheters.
The pictures show work that typically was done left-handed.

The patterns come out right, either way they are made. When needed I give specific instructions related to work being done right or left-handed.
