I was an educator for 20 years, upon leaving this career I picked up knitting needles and I haven’t stopped knitting ever since. Seriously.

I love soft, luscious fibers. If it doesn’t feel good when I am knitting, I won’t knit with it. Knitting makes me happy and the fiber is an important part of that.

My love for fibers has lead me to exploring the cultural aspects of fibers. In 2015 I began traveling to Peru and started working with two different Quechua communities, one in the Sacred Valley near Cusco and the second one on the Island of Taquila, on Lake Titicaca.

Both communities are knitters and weavers. Our relationship has been amazing and inspirational. Through knitting I am meeting people all over the world.

My favorite items to knit and design are fingerless mitts. They are just so darn fun!
