I learned how to knit as a kid, stopped because only old ladies did that, and then when we switched my older son to cloth diapers, I decided to remember how to knit. I did, and dammitall if I wasn’t hooked. So I knit holiday gifts for my family, then some soakers, then more soakers and skirts and hats and sweaters…then I opened a store to sell custom knits.
One day I came up with a new way (at least I think it’s new) to add a ruffle to a soaker, and my first pattern was born. After that, since I never followed a pattern ever, I decided to design some other things to suit my needs. Keeping notes on what I was doing was a natural next step, and here I am.
I have a DH, Bill, and two almost grown-up sons. I live on the west coat of Canada now, but I grew up on a dairy farm in NY, and worked in NYC for five years after graduating from college (before having kids).
