I am Portuguese and I live in Lisbon.

I am the owner of Retrosaria, a knitting shop and yarn business devoted to developing minimally processed yarns from the wool of native portuguese sheep breeds. You can see our yarn range here.

I’ve started knitting when I was seven and the first knitting book I fell in love with was Bonecos de Lã (Knitted Dolls) by Erna Rath, when I was about ten.

I do research on traditional portuguese knitting patterns and techniques and published the book Malhas Portuguesas in 2013.
