I’m Sarah and I love to combine my love of archaeology and my love of knitting to create unique patterns.

I’m an archaeologist who specialises in the record keeping side of things. However I’ve always been intrigued by the shapes and textures of objects and archtecture. It is this that has influenced my knitting designs.

I first got bitten by the ‘design’ bug when I was honeymooning on Orkney in 2013. The colours and textures I was seeing were so inspiring! My very first design, Carved Stone Ball Socks, are based on some of the finds from a very famous prehistoric site on Orkney, Skara Brae.

I currently live in Wiltshire and continue to be inspired by the very rich prehistoric archaeology in local museums.
