I currently teach crochet at Yarn Therapy Inc. in Tallahassee. Please come visit us there - it’s a friendly little place that truly focuses on the idea that knitting is, in some way, therapy for us all.

I am the resident sample knitter and idea haver. I also do blocking, finishing and repair work. I am one of those odd ducks who love weaving in ends and piecing things together.

I love to test knit and edit and have begun to create some designs of my own. Crochet repairs seem to keep finding me and I love helping people connect to their past by fixing an old crocheted afghan their grandmother made.

Restoring or replicating people’s much-loved blankets, toys, or heirlooms is one of the most delightful things I do. Please contact me if you need something fixed, resized or need a knitted or crocheted childhood memory made into something you can hold.

A lifetime crocheter, I taught myself to knit in ‘04 and thusly knit left-to-right, continental and wrap my purls the wrong way! This strange technique is super fast for me and I have learned to adapt my stitches so everything looks as it should.

Through knitting and crochet, I have reconnected with the creative part of me that led me to art school way back before my “real” life happened and kept me painting and drawing my whole childhood. It’s a wonderful thing.

Other than that, I’m every bit as normal as any left-handed, gluten-free, former Adventist, Air Force Brat who spent most childhood summers traveling in a Winnebago with her chihuahua can be. Really.
