My username is treeknitter.
My favorite place to knit is in a tree - preferably in the woods, in the fall, on a nice day (55 degrees, sunshine, slight breeze - down wind preferable). This may seem a little different, but my family spends a lot of time outdoors, and where they go, I go (with my knitting, of course)!

I have some unusual hobbies (knitting is definitely the most “normal”). I prefer to think of myself as diverse…well-rounded…interesting…Yes, I know this is a bit of a stretch!

I “work” at designing knitted things - but it’s really more fun than work…

I have 3 kids (20, 17 and 15)- (hence the need for knit therapy), a husband, and a few furry creatures (hence the need for knit therapy).

I’m a rule follower in life but NOT in the realm of knitting - does that make me a knitting rebel? When I knit for myself, I prefer the ‘trial and error method’. When I knit from a pattern, I always find myself going off the chart (literally). There are just too many, “I wonder what would happen if….” moments.
That’s probably my favorite thing about knitting - you can experiment to your hearts content and (almost always) get a few “do overs”…
