I was inspired to start crocheting when I saw a video of a pet turtle wearing a crocheted Bowser costume, and I just had to make it for my brother-in-law’s tortoise. But the seed was planted much earlier, because my mother was an avid crocheter, mostly making doilies that I definitely did not appreciate as a child. Now a mother myself, I love making all things beautiful, functional, and preferably both!
