Treeline Knits
Hi! I’m Liz, I’m the designer behind Treeline Knits.
I’ve knit since I was a child and started designing in 2018, somewhat by accident. The desire to have a buffalo plaid hat for camping lit a fuse and I’ve just kind of gone from there.
After leaving behind a career in graphic design in 2019, for a career in human resources. After many years of feeling burnt out creatively, I finally craved being creative once again. My love of knitting and skills as a graphic designer lended itself nicely to the challenge of designing knitting patterns.
My designs are often inspired by the rugged and beautiful landscapes of the Yukon where I lived for 11 years, Ontario where I grew up and Alberta where I currently live. My love of graphic patterns, snarky sayings and swear words often work their way in there as well.
When I’m not knitting or designing I can be often be found running, hiking or biking, basically anything that gets me outside.
I also enjoy working with locally sourced, ethically trapped fur to make fur pompoms to adorn my knitted hats.
