I have been crocheting since I was 4 years old and my great-grandmother gave me a size 3 steel hook with a ball of crochet thread and taught me how to make a chain stitch. She taught me the basic stitches and later my mother taught me a little more.

I have been designing my own patterns since about the age of 10 when my uncle told me he would pay me to make a scarf for him.
