Valerie Oliner
In the last few years I have become a knitting addict. Since I was rather selfishly knitting mostly socks for me (with a few pairs here and there for my husband -- what can I say -- he has big feet!), I thought I should even the balance by knitting hats for others. I began knitting hats for people going through chemotherapy.
I recently decided to publish some of my hat (and matching cowl) designs. They are stylish, relatively easy and fun to knit, either for yourself or as a gift. The designs look great with either solid or variegated yarns. Also, all of my hat designs work well for people going through chemotherapy or with sensitive scalps.
Lately, I’ve also started knitting -- and designing -- shawls. My favorite shawls have clean, unfussy lines and really show off my favorite yarns.
