Thursday Tip: Upload a Ravatar
One thing I love about Ravelry is being able to see your smiling faces (and cats and dogs and shawls and funny quotes) all over the site in the form of your Ravatar. What’s a Ravatar? It’s another name for an avatar or a profile picture, a little picture you use to represent yourself all over the site. Today’s tip is how to upload your own Ravatar.
Step 1: Get to your profile page.
To get to your profile page, click on your username in the upper right corner of the page where …

Thursday Tip: Get the Lingo!
… I wanted to share a few commonly used Ravelry terms so you’ll know exactly what people mean when you come across them on the forums or elsewhere around our site.

By the way, if you haven’t uploaded a profile picture here to Ravelry and would like to, we’ve got a Tips post that will help you out.

… off that button if seeing it bothers you.
Text Etiquette
Forums are more like an informal conversation than an email. The linked avatar means you have already “signed” your post, so adding your name and/or some kind of stylized signature is unnecessary and will look out of place in Ravelry’s Forums.
Posting in ALL CAPS is …
