This is the pattern written for beginning knitters. Very easy to understand, it uses worsted/aran weight yarn at a gauge of 4 1/2 stitches to the inch. Uses all basic techniques, including sewing up, so that it is perfect for learn to knit classes.

Sizes- small, medium, large, x-large.
Finished measurements:
Chest- 40, 44, 48, 52 ins.
Length- 22 ins.

Materials- worsted weight yarn:
1,090; 1,100; 1,200; 1,350 yds.
Single point needles sizes 7 and 5; 16 inch circular needle size 5 or sizes required to get the gauge.
Scrap yarn.

Gauge- using the larger needles in stockinette st,
18 sts equal 4 inches.
