Hope is… a waking dream. - Aristotle

Designed for a gradient background color, this stranded color work beanie features a modified Triskele symbol.

Dating back to the Neolithic era, the Triskele symbol has been ascribed many meanings. The spirals themselves indicate motion and movement.

One popular meaning is the unity of mental, physical, and spiritual self. Other popular meanings are strength, progress, and the ability to move forward and overcome adversity.

Three is an important component of the design, and in this the third year of the Covid pandemic, my wish is that it will be a symbol of hope, that we will progress and move forward, and a reminder of that hope to you as you knit it, and to all who wear it.

Designed for Sea Bre’s Yarn Shop and the 2022 Puget Sound LYS tour (www.lystour.com). Shown with the same gradient yarns (available for preorder on my website Willowonthewater.com in both black and white main colors. Amazing how different they look!

The five color ways are loosely inspired by the five elements of Feng Shui:
Wood: growth, Hope, & rebirth
Fire: wealth, love, & reputation
Earth: stability & nourishment
Metal: clarity & creativity
Water: purity & wisdom

Needle size will affect gauge and finished size. As written will be best for most, and all samples except the Fire color with black main color, are M/L size. Fire with black is S/M… and it fits my 22.75” head snugly.
