This modern Christmas stocking uses popular colorways but retains tradition with the Fair Isle pattern. The stocking has decorative chevron components. This would be an excellent pattern for someone new to Fair Isle knitting.

The stocking measures 5.5 by 21.5 inches and uses Cascade 220 yarn in charcoal gray, Christmas red and white. Gauge is not critical in this project. The pattern has written instructions and a chart of the pattern. It also contains a fabulous no holes short row heel.
