MATERIALS AND TOOLS
---ELEPHANT---

• Body: any smooth yarn, preferably not very stretchy. I use Pehorka Camel Hair (65% camel wool, 35% acrylic; 600 m/100 g) two strands together. If you choose other yarn, look for Sport or DK yarn (300 m/100 g). You will need 2 skeins.
• Tusks: any cotton lace yarn. I use Vita Pelican (100% mercerized cotton, 330 m/50 g) – 3993 Ivory. You can make tusks with polymer clay.
• Toenails: any smooth cotton or microfiber lace yarn. I use Alize Diva (100% microfiber, 350 m/100 g) – 368 Beige.

---TOWN---
You can use any lace cotton yarn. I use Vita Pelican (100% mercerized cotton, 350 m/50 g).
To make the disc you will need a nylon cord (60 m/1200 tex).

Wool yarn to make grass. I use Taiga Classic Scottish Tweed (360 m/100 g).
To make the river I suggest using Alize Diva of any color you want. This yarn has a very nice silky color and fine waves. I use multicolor Batik, color 3282.

---ELEPHANT’S HAT AND COVER---
Any cotton yarn. Make sure you use rather thick yarn to make the hat and cover keep the shape. I use Vita Rose (100% mercerized cotton, 150 m/50 g) of wine red color to make roofs of the town.

• Stuffing polyester
• Small metal granules – it is necessary to use granules for hind legs! You will need about 100 g.
• about 6 m of 1.0-1.5 mm copper wire. You can buy this wire in a craft shop, but I suggest buying it in an electronic goods store. There you can buy a 31.5 cord. Before buying the cord, make sure that the wire inside it is whole and does not consist of several thin wires. With a paper-knife, remove the insulation. The cable inside consists of three copper wire cords, so having bought just a meter of cord you will have three meters of copper wire.
• white fabric plaster or insulation tape
• a pair of toy eyes, size 12
• transparent glue
• a small golden bell to decorate the hat
• a small bead or a bell to make the well bucket
• strong sewing thread the color of the elephant’s body
• strong thread to form the body

---TOOLS:---
- 1.75 mm crochet hook (elephant, disc, cape, hat), 1.0 mm crochet hook (town)
Choose the hook according to the yarn you use to make even fabric without holes.
