#04 Bare Midriff Dress
A knitted cropped, sleeveless top and a dirndl skirt done in seed stitch. The buttonholes on the front are machine made.
Materials: Bear Brand Wool and Shetland Wool, 2-oz. skeins, 11 (12-13-14) skeins. Susan Bates No. 6 and No. 8 knitting needles. Susan Bates No. 0 crochet hook. 1 yard 1” wide grosgrain ribbon for the midriff. 1 yard 0.5” elastic for skirt. 5 button molds.
Gauge: 5 sts--1” on No. 8 needles.
Sizes: Directions are for size 10. Changes for sizes 12, 14 and 16 are in parentheses. Finished sizes: 10 (32.5” Bust, 24” Waist, 34.5” Hip), 12 (34” Bust, 25.5” Waist, 36” Hip), 14 (36” Bust, 27” Waist, 38” Hip), 16 (38” Bust, 29” Waist, 40” Hip).
