#06 Embellished Top
Pattern description from Knit.1, Summer 2007:* “When it’s time for a wardrobe metamorphosis, crochet up a butterfly and several individual flowers, sew the elements together and attach the whole panel to an existing top. Linda Permann got hooked on the idea using ‘La Luz’ spun silk from Fiesta Yarns.”
Notions: Tapestry needle, straight pins, sewing needle and matching thread, t-shirt in desired color (a deep V neck is recommended)
Gauge: Not critical for this project.
Note: “Each element of the appliqué is worked separately and then sewn together to form the larger piece. If your shirt has a differently shaped opening, play with the pieces before sewing them together and add/subtract flowers as desired.”
