This hat is super easy and quick. It takes an hour or less to complete and uses a small amount of heavy worsted weight yarn (less than 100 yards). Knowledge of the Foundation Double Crochet is needed, it gives the opening at the top a great stretch. There is also one row that works in to the 3rd loop of the HDC. I have uploaded a picture on Ravelry that shows this.

This hat is super stretchy and fits from child to adult. Finished hat is approx 6.5 inches tall and 9 inches wide. Complete the look by adding your favorite bow, flower or button. This is a MID-EAR length hat on adults, kids can wear the same hat but it will cover the ear. If you would like the adult hat a longer length I suggest repeating the last row 1 or 2 more times.
