100% That Stitch Crop Top
The 100% That Stitch Crop Top is, you guessed it, 100% stockinette stitch (and a play on Lizzo’s “Truth Hurts” lyrics).
This is the perfect beginner project because it only requires you to know how to knit, purl, and do some basic increases and decreases. It also works up super quick because of the bulky weight yarn, so you’ll have the finished garment in no time!
This top looks great sleeveless, but I’ve also included 3 sleeve options for you within the pattern.
Sizes: XS, (S, M, L, XL) (2XL, 3XL, 4XL, 5XL)
To fit a waist measurement of:
24 (26.5, 30.5, 34.5, 38.5) (42.25, 46.25, 50.25, 54.25)”
60.96 (67.3, 77.5, 87.63, 97.8) (107.3, 117.48, 127.64, 137.78) cm
And a bust measurement of:
29 (32.75, 37, 41, 45) (49, 53, 57, 61)”
73.5 (83.5, 94, 104, 114)(124.5, 134.5, 144.5, 155) cm
Materials: Bulky weight yarn, straight or circular needles (recommended for flexibility), tapestry needle
Suggested Yarn: The yarn used in the sample is Wonderfluff Ombré in the color Hare Heather. In the pattern, I give a few tips for knitting the top with ombré yarn, but for a simpler knit use a single color yarn such as Wonderfluff. You can use any bulky weight yarn for this project, or even hold multiple strands of smaller weight yarns together to obtain a bulky weight for a fun scrap-busting project.
Note: if using an ombré yarn, make sure you have two skeins so that the front and back panels change color evenly
Yardage:
290.3-296.5 (330-336, 359.9-336.4, 397-404.4, 436.35-442.9) (474.6-482, 517.3- 523.2, 553.4-560.3, 593.8-600.6) yrds
265.5-271.1 (301.9-307.3, 329.1-335, 363-369.8, 399-405.7) (434-440.7, 473-478.4, 506-512.3, 543-549.2) m
Gauge: 14 sts x 23 rows = 4x4 inches in stockinette on size US 10/ 6 mm needles, worked flat and blocked
Suggested Needles: US10/ 6mm
Techniques: You will need to know how to knit, purl, make one left/right, knit 2 together, pick up stitches (for sleeves only), and seam
