10501 Cardigan
SUMMARY: This is a woman’s round-neck, cardigan with drop-shouldered, long sleeves. It is worked in the round and features multiple bands of mainly geometric patterns – squares and triangles. A large flower pattern and ‘X’ band are worked on the lower edge and cuffs. The hemline, buttonbands, collar and cuffs are all self-faced. The buttonbands and collar are picked-up from the body stitches and worked onwards in the finishing stages. The buttonband facing is picked-up from the buttonband itself and worked onwards.
The sweater uses seven colours: one Main Colour (MC) and six Contrasting Colours (CC1 – CC6). Quantities are given for two colour versions – khaki, burgundy and rust or green, burgundy and red.
The cardigan is shown in the khaki version, while the pullover version is shown in the green version.
