1:12th scale Baby shawl and carrying coat
Ability level: For experienced knitters This is not a suitable project for a first attempt at miniature knitting
Materials Required:
Shawl - 1 pair size 19 (1.00 mm/US size 5/0) knitting needles, 28yards/25 metres 1-ply yarn in pink, 14 yards/12.5 metres in each of white and blue yarn or colours required. For a single colour shawl allow 42 yards/39 metres 1-ply yarn.
Carrying coat - 1 pair size 19 (1.00 mm/US size 5/0) knitting needles, (Note for a Heidi Ott baby use size 21 (0.80 mm knitting needles), 28 yards/25 metres 1-ply yarn, small amount contrast wool or thread for smocking and crochet border; 12-inch (30 cm) length of 2mm silk ribbon for ties, optional - 0.60 or 0.75 crochet hook.
Finished size:
Shawl: approx 3-inches/7.5 cm square
Carrying coat: Approx 2½-inches/6 cm tall, ¾-inches/2 cm across chest, sleeve length ¾-inch/2 cm
Gauge: Gauge is not important as dolls house dolls vary in size
