1:12th scale Ladies accessories c. 1943
Set comprises of Embroidered Head Scarf, Ankle socks, Snood, and Blouse Front.
Materials required:
Blouse Front - Size 19 (1.00 mm/US size 00000) knitting needles, 13 yards/12.5 metres 1-ply wool, 13 yards/12.5 metres fine 1-ply cotton, 2-inch (5 cm) square of fine net or tulle, Sewing thread for making up, small button or bead.
Headscarf - Size 16 (1.5mm/ US 000) knitting needles, 55 yards/50 metres 1-ply yarn, oddments of embroidery thread or wool for flowers, tapestry needle.
Snood - Size 16 (1.5mm/ US 000) knitting needles, 13 yards/12.5 metres 1-ply yarn or sewing cotton (makes work more open), very thin elastic such as shirring elastic, 0.75mm crochet hook (optional)
Ankle Socks - Size 19 (1.00 mm/US size 00000) knitting needles, 13 yards/12.5 metres 1-ply yarn
Approximate finished sizes:
Blouse Front – 1¾-inches/4.25 cm neck to waist, 1¼-inches/3 cm across bust
Headscarf – 6-inches/15 cm across long edge4-inches/10 cm on other two sides (measurements exclude fringe)
Snood - 1-inch/2.5 cm deep by ¾-inch/2 cm wide after elastic has been added.
Ankle socks - ¾-inch/2 cm along foot, ½-inch/1.25 cm heel to ankle
Gauge – Gauge is not important as dolls house dolls (like humans) vary greatly in size and proportions
