12" Crochet-in-the-Square
This pattern is available as a
free Ravelry download
I came up with this pattern as a quick backing for hotpads. I didn’t see anything like this already on Ravelry and so made it up this afternoon.
It starts as being worked in rows, then switched to being done in the round. The join travels-- if this bothers you, try tying off each time and starting in a corner.
Edit- Scraplyn suggests the corner be 2st, ch2, 2st instead of 3st. This is a great suggestion and feel free to do whichever you like best.
I was trying to achieve zero spaces so this block would show through the main square as a solid color.
This project is a good example of how I use the 12” Crochet-in-the-Square pattern.
