When I found out that Michelle of Dyetastic was creating an advent yarn kit, I knew I wanted in. Michelle’s sense of color really speak to me as a person and I knew I was going to love what she was creating. I wanted to create a piece that really allowed her work to speak without conflicting or taking away from the yarn itself because let’s face it these advent calendars are really about the surprise and joy that each color brings everyday. During the process of creating this piece Michelle and I both felt that creating a piece that takes a full 24 mini skeins was bigger than we both were looking for (maybe next year…), we want a wearable item that was flexible and allowed many knitters to create during the advent season, and thus the 12 Days of Christmas was created.
