This is not designed for a specific yarn. Any yarn can be used. Required needles are, a 24” circular and 1 set of double-points sized to the yarn.

For reference:

Using lace or light fingering yarn, a 36” round on size 4 needles takes about 5 oz of acrylic. Two blankets at the top were worked with Super Yarn Mart’s Ice Yarn.

Using worsted weight acrylic yarn, a 36” round on size 7 needles takes about 8.5 oz.

Or - (bottom photos) I recently made a blanket using Cascade’s Cherub DK - it took 5 50-gram balls using Size 6 needles
