There’s something so special about a handmade quilt. I wanted to encapsulate all those special, nostalgic feelings in these quilt-inspired socks. I hope you enjoy making your own quilt-inspired socks!

CONSTRUCTION - This pattern is worked from the cuff down. Using 3 colours for stranded colourwork. The heel is a classic heel flap and gusset. The foot will still keep you engaged with some simple texture involving purl bumps.

TECHNIQUES TO TRY - Top-down sock construction, Stranded colourwork, Heel flap and gusset, French heel turn, Kitchener stitch

SIZES - 1 (2, 3)

FINISHED SOCK MEASUREMENTS -
Foot circumference: 7 (8, 9)” or 17.5 (20, 22.5) cm.
Recommend to be worn with 1-1.5” 2.5-4 cm of negative ease in circumference.
Foot length: Customized to desired length.

GAUGE - Stockinette stitch: 17 stitches by 21 rounds in 2” 5 cm.
Using US size 1 2.25 mm needles, measured in the round after blocking.
Colourwork: 16 stitches by 16 rounds in 2” 5 cm.
Using US size 1 2.25 mm needles, measured in the round after blocking.

YARN - Any sock or fingering weight yarn.
Sample is shown using Little Lionhead Knits fingering weight sock yarn, 85% SW Merino Wool, 15% Nylon
