CROCHET OPEN WEAVE SHRUG
(Includes sizes small, medium, large, and x-large)
This PATTERN is for a ONE-SKEIN OPEN WEAVE SHRUG! MAKE IT EITHER LONG SLEEVED, OR SHORT SLEEVED! (See the insert in the 1st photo of the short sleeved camouflage vest, compliments of Scraptrapped who purchased the pattern and sent in a photo of her finished garment.)
“It’s perfect for people like me who don’t like to show their arms!” is a comment from one of my customers. She goes on to say: “During the summer months, I can still wear a tank-top, and put this shrug/bolero on, and still be cool, while covering up!”
This works up sooo quickly, and I would consider it to be a BEGINNER PROJECT. There are no seams to this shrug!
It is worked in the round, so when you are finished, there are no separate sleeves to be sewn on!
I worked up this design using Red Heart Yarn,in knitting worsted weight, and it used less than one 198 gram skein. (That means you could make this shrug for just over $3.00!)
YOU WILL NEED:
Worsted weight yarn
Size 9 mm crochet hook
SIZES INCLUDED: S, M, L, and XL (fit: 32 to 44 inch chest)
Finished shrug is quite stretchy, so is not a tight fit.
CUSTOMER TESTIMONIALS:
“Fantastic pattern! I was able to make it perfectly the first time!! Beautiful!”
Another comment:
“I love the versatility of this pattern! I have made it with an angora yarn, for a dressy look, and also in camouflage yarn for a casual look! It looks great either way!”
