Simple top down tiny dress with a gathered skirt. It is knitted with dk yarn at a soft gauge of 20 sts to 4 inches. The yarn you use will give this dress lots of character, or if done in a single soft color, will set off the little one’s complexion. The optional ribbed headband can be embellished with the knit flower, a purchased decoration, or left plain. Sizes correspond to ready to wear baby clothes, not to the baby’s age.

Sizes- 3 (6, 12, 18) months.

Materials- (dress and headband with flower) dk weight yarn: approx. 378 (430, 493, 544) yds.
16 inch circular needles size 6 and 4; double point needles size 6 and 4 or sizes required to get the gauge.
One or two buttons about 3/8 inch. The second button is for the headband if desired.
Scrap yarn, 4 stitch markers of the same color, one of a different color. Darning needle.

Gauge- using the larger needles in stockinette st,
20 sts equal 4 inches.
