This is a detailed pattern description of how to create a 1.5 inch monkey just like the one in the pictures. There are 33 step - by step photos that show you how to create a cute monkey of your own.

Materials to create a 1.5 Inch (3.5 cm) tall monkey

• 3 Crochet hooks: 1.5 mm crochet hook, 1.0 mm crochet hook and 0.6 mm crochet hook.

• Dark brown and yellow brown fingering weight yarn. Embroidery floss in similar colors in 1-ply and 3-ply.

• Embroidery thread in black.

• Embroidery needle – size 10

• Black micro beads – 1.5 mm in diameter. If you can’t find eye beads this size, then you can make sew black little dots for the eyes.

• Scissors

• Stuffing

 

Here are the types of stitch/technique you need to know to create the monkey:

Make a magic ring

Crochet from the wrong side out

Ch = chain

St = stitch

Sc = single crochet

Inc = increase (2 sc in one st)

Dec = decrease (2 sc together)

Sk = skip

Dc = double crochet

Sl st = Slip stitch
