#169 Melon Bites Little Purse
These little bags are a simple and delectable as the round melon balls that inspired them. For me, they evoke hot, breezy days where sitting under a weeping willow by a slow-moving river is a respite from the heat. And all the more so if you have fresh cut melons on a nearby table.
Capture the simplicity of delicious melon bites any time of year. In the warm months, or in warm climes, they are ideal knitting: they are so quick to knit, and so small that not only will you have a cute little bag to carry around, but both the knitting and the carrying will not add to the warmth of the day. In cooler months or cooler climes, they recall the tastes of summer.
Think of each bag as a canvas for your creativity: Embellish with beads, flowers, sparkles, or all three and see how your ideas for the next one follow on the heels of the last.
