Now as for this lovely sweater-coat and hat set:
The yarn used here is an ordinary worsted weight acrylic yarn. You will need about 3.5 oz of yarn for both the coat and the hat.

The coat is done without side seams. The only seams are under arms in the sleeves and in the back of the hat. Regular straight needles, but preferably circular needles are used for this pattern.
