A cute, simple raglan sweater crochet pattern for 18” dolls such as American Girl®, it features rows of hdc to create a pretty textured surface, fully split button closure back and chunky modern ribbing at the cuffs and waistband.

Please make a gauge swatch & measure - switching your hook size up or down until you have matched the gauge below:

The gauge for this pattern is 8sts and 7 rows in hdc to measure 2”x2”

MATERIALS NEEDED:

• 4mm crochet hook (or the size(s) needed to obtain gauge)
• Light Worsted / DK weight yarn - I used Paintbox Simply DK / Light Worsted in Vanilla Cream
• 2-3, 14mm buttons
• Tapestry needle
• Smaller needle for sewing on buttons

The sweater can be made as a top, or crocheted with sleeves for a sweater. It is crocheted from the top down in the raglan style, with a fully split back (buttons are sewn on at the end to complete the look). The sweater is worked in rows for the yoke and body and then worked in the round for the sleeves :)
