This is a simple undersleeve, with three cute puffs. It took me a little bit of time to understand this pattern. As the stitch description and the image are confusing! I can actually think of three stitches that the pattern might describe.

I later found a stitch in a period undersleeve pattern, that was described in a similar manner. I also found an original undersleeve with the same stitch. So, I opted to use it. This stitch, also known as the elongated stitch, looked a bit ugly at first, but I found it made a delightfully soft and almost lacy item, and it really flatters the puffs.

I hope this pattern!
