1929 Little girl's dress with pants
Passap machine knitting instructions for a toddler’s dress / tunic with a contrast colour insert and matching pants / shorts.
The dress front and back both uses pushers and short rows to first knit first one side of the intarsia triangle, then the other side and then finally fill in the triangle itself in the contrast colour.
The shorts are knit flat in one piece, seamed and elastic inserted in the waistband.
Materials:
- 9 ozs “medium wool (England 3-ply)” (430m per 100g): 7 ozs red and 2 ozs white
- waist elastic
- 2 small buttons
Test square
In stocking stitch: 100 sts = 33 cm, 100 rows = 20 cm
Knitting Machines
The stitch sizes given in this model book are for the earlier “Pinkie” Passap. Add an extra half stitch size for the appropriate stitch size for the later DM80 and E6000 machines.
Instructions are also given in this pattern for the Passap Combi.
By following the schematic, this pattern can be adapted for use in other standard gauge knitting machines.
