Passap machine knitting instructions for a man’s ribbed waistcoat / vest. The body of the garment is mainly knit in 4x1 rib, with the button panels and bottom rib in 2x2. Half tubular stocking stitch bands are used to finish the neck and armholes.

Materials:

  • 10½ ozs “wool of sport yarn weight” (290 m per 100g)
  • 8 buttons

Test square
4x1 rib: 100 sts = 37 cm, 100 rows = 25 cm

Knitting Machines
The stitch sizes given in this model book are for the earlier “Pinkie” Passap. Add an extra half stitch size for the appropriate stitch size for the later DM80 and E6000 machines.

Instructions for the Passap Combi are given for this pattern.

By following the schematic, this pattern can be adapted for use in other standard gauge knitting machines.
