Passap machine knitting instructions for a sailor top for a 5 year old. It is part of a set with a pleated skirt.

The top is knit in pieces and seemed. There is a chart to embroider an anchor in one corner of the collar “(Owners of a PASSAP COMBI may knit this motif in. See COMBI instruction
book page 54)”

  • 6 ozs “fine wool (England 2-ply)” (800m in 100g) in yellow taken two-fold plus an oddment in navy blue for the stripes / anchor
  • 2 press studs

In stocking stitch: 100 sts = 33 cm, 100 rows = 26 cm (with yarn held doubled.) For long stitch pattern (yarn worked singly) “no test square is needed.”

Knitting Machines
The stitch sizes given in this model book are for the earlier “Pinkie” Passap. Add an extra half stitch size for the appropriate stitch size for the later DM80 and E6000 machines.

Instructions are also given in this pattern for the Passap Combi.

By following the schematic, this pattern can be adapted for use in other standard gauge knitting machines.

The pattern is pictured p15 of the model book (p16 of the pdf), the instructions start on p12 and finish on p5 of the instruction book (p32 & p25 of the pdf).
